Aurora homes that sold last month averaged 2,153 square feet of living space. That figure dwarfs Woodburn (1,355 square feet) and Canby (1,530 square feet). Closest to Aurora’s large average home size was #2 Silverton at 1,985 square feet.

Related to Aurora’s larger average sold home size, Aurora also has the highest average selling price of all neighboring communities listed in the survey at $275,588. This is more than twice Woodburn’s average home price of $138,073. Closest to Aurora’s price was Canby at $262,637.

Aurora Property Sells For 5 Million Dollars

Oregon property tax records reveal a new owner for property at the present site of Aurora Acres RV Resort near I-5. The transaction recently closed for a reported price of $5,100,000.

The new owner of record is Aurora Energy Investments, LLC. The intended future use for the site has not been publicly disclosed. State records indicate the new owner has gasoline station affiliations.

Aurora at I-5: A Hotbed of Real Estate Activity
Other noteworthy local real estate activity is happening just a stone’s throw from the Aurora Acres site. This includes the sale of 59+ acres of farmland across Ehlen Road for $900,000 in 2012. More recently was siting of a new Flying J Travel Plaza, in  an apparent limited partnership with a Leathers Oil Company affiliate.

Aurora Property Sells For 1.4 Million

A local Aurora, Oregon landmark recently sold for well over a million dollars, according to reliable sources.

Big Red Barn at Aurora I-5 Interchange

The 18+ acre property includes an older home, numerous buildings and a big red barn.  The address is 26444 NE Butteville Road, just west of the I-5 Freeway at the Charbonneau exit.

Once known as the Edwards Farm and later the Van Doozer property, records show the new owner is BL & DJ LLC, which appears to share an affiliation with Bob Lanphere auto dealerships. The real estate transaction occurred in late September.

Currently zoned for agricultural use, no word has yet been made public regarding possible future plans for the property.
